Modesto Sound is a nonprofit arts organization dedicated to empowering youth with real-world job skills to create music and artistic media.
We believe that creativity becomes most powerful when it is paired with opportunity. Through hands-on experiences, students and emerging creators develop practical skills in music production, audio engineering, podcasting, and digital media while working on authentic projects that prepare them for creative careers.
Our mission extends beyond the classroom. We produce original films, documentaries, podcasts, and multimedia projects that celebrate the stories, cultures, and voices of our community. These productions serve not only as creative works, but also as learning environments where aspiring artists gain meaningful, real-world experience alongside working professionals.
Lirios En El Valle is one example of that mission in action, preserving the history of Regional Mexican music in California's Central Valley while providing opportunities for the next generation of storytellers to learn, create, and contribute.
At Modesto Sound, we don't just teach creative skills. We empower young people to tell stories that matter.
